The Ferrari 208 is a sports car produced by the Italian automaker Ferrari from 1980 to 1986 in three versions: carburetor, fuel injection, and turbo.
It was designed to address the oil crisis of the 1970s and 1980s, consuming less fuel and polluting less than the 3,000 cc version. It was also designed to address the Italian financial recession of those same years, avoiding the heavy taxation that weighed on engines over 2,000 cc. The same strategy was also adopted by Lamborghini and Maserati, with specific car models for that situation.
It was available in two body styles: coupé (GTB) and with a removable roof (GTS). A total of 160 GTB models and 140 GTS models (excluding the Turbo versions) were produced.
